Pure Joy Playing Iconic Movie Themes!
What a blast to play! This John Williams collection, featuring 'Star Wars' and 'Duel of the Fates,' is fantastic for my community band. The Grade 2 difficulty is just right—challenging enough to learn, but totally achievable for us weekend musicians. Michael Sweeney's arrangement really makes us sound like the professional soundtracks. It's incredibly enjoyable and a perfect way to relax with great music.

Masterful Instrumental Voice-Leading for Band

THIS MADE MY LIFE.
So it was my last year in band and I begged and begged to do a John Williams song at our end of the year concert. My directors ended up choosing this piece and it was WONDERFUL. I honestly believe that they couldn't have chose something better. The whole band loved it, including myself. When I found out we were playing it, I just burst into tears. I love John Williams' music and my favorite song is the Jurassic Park score and it was in this arrangement so I was unbelievably excited.The audience definitely loved all of these recognizable tunes. It was definitely the crowd's favorite, along with the band's. Some sections were challenging, like the time signature in Star Wars, and the tempo in Duel of the Fates, and the ritardando towards the very end of the song. But once we practiced it enough, I feel like we all really nailed it by the end of the performances (we played multiple concerts).
