Big Trane Fan
This book contains 7 classic Coltrane tunes that are well known to jazz lovers and sax players. This book is in Bb key for tenor and soprano sax. The main reason I bought the book was for the song Syeeda's Song Flute, I knew the melody and now, I know the chords also. This book contains the melodies and the solo transcriptions which is great for students at all levels, for example Coltrane loved using the b5 or if he was extending the chord the #11 of the 7th chord. By the way Trane himself said even he couldn't play his own transcribed solos at full speed with the fast tunes, so don't be frustrated if you can't either, just learn, analyse and enjoy!
