* Even though it’s written for an Intermediate Skill Level ensemble, they can sound like they're playing something more difficult. * Originally written as a piano solo, some of the more intricate cross rhythms have been simplified to make it more accessible to Intermediate musicians. * It starts as a simple duet and adds various layers as it progresses, including two counter-melodies. * Both violins and the viola get a chance to play the melody.
It may remind you of Pachelbel's Canon in D, but it has its own unique personality. It is also available for String Orchestra with Violin 1&2, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass.
