A gentle, very easy setting of the Appalachian carol, this is an expansion of the popular 2-3 octave setting. The two editions are compatible for massed ringing. Handchimes may be used for all or any portion of the piece, at the director's discretion. There are no bell changes, and the fifth octave doubling of the treble bells is very basic, making this piece a good choice for groups learning to use Shelley ringing.
