This is a lyric, flowing testament to the love of Jesus, who died for our salvation. The first verse begins quietly, pondering the mystery and wonder of Christ's sacrifice. The constant eighth notes of the accompaniment suddenly pause as the choir pauses to reflect, "Jesus died for me." Gradually increasing in intensity, the dynamics rise to forte as we view the scene at Calvary. Rich harmonies and solid choral writing provide an inspired anthem for general worship, Ash Wednesday, Lent and Holy Week.

Excellent piece
We used this piece on Ash Wednesday with an Ecumenical choir from 4 churches. It is definitely not difficult to learn, which was good as we only had one short rehearsal together. However, it was very effective and the choir members really liked it. Although I bought it for this purpose, it is also very usable for my church's smaller choir.
