In 2009, one year after its formation, the Swiss brass ensemble Azimuts Brass commissioned its conductor, Marc Jeanbourquin, to write them a signature tune. He composed Jazzimut, which features a festive introduction followed by a lyrical theme. After a few bars of rock rhythm, Jazzimut goes disco and finishes with a recapitulation of the introduction as a fanfare. Now available for concert band this is an entertaining piece from start to finish!
Jazzimut is in 2009 geschreven als herkenningsmelodie voor het Zwitserse brass ensemble Azimuts Brass. Het is van de hand van hun eigen dirigent Marc Jeanbourquin. Het werk begint met een feestelijke inleiding om daarna in een lyrischthema over te gaan. Na een paar maten in rockstijl verandert Jazzimut in een discostijl. Dan pakt het weer de inleiding op, om in een fanfarestijl te eindigen. Genieten van begin tot einde, deze Jazzimut!
Jazzimut ist 2009 als Erkennungsmelodie für das Schweizerische Brass-Ensemble Azimuts Brass von dessen Dirigenten Marc Jeanbourquin geschrieben worden. Das Stück beginnt mit einer festlichen Einleitung, gefolgt von einem lyrischen Thema. Nach ein paar Takten im Rock-Stil wechselt Jazzimut in einen Disco-Stil, um mit der Wiederaufnahme der Einleitung im Fanfare-Stil zu enden. Durch und durch unterhaltsam!

Il compose ainsi Jazzimut, une introduction festive, contrastée par un thème plus lyrique. Puis se développent quelques mesures de style rock amenant peu peu un motif solidement disco. Une dernière réexposition en fanfare de l’introduction parachève cette pièce d’ouverture dans un finale pétillant.
Jazzimut è stata composta nel 2009 da Marc Jeanbourquin, maestro del Brass Esemble Azimuts (Svizzera). Il brano apre con un’introduzione festiva, seguita da un tema lirico. Dopo alcune misure in stile rock, Jazzimut diventa un brano in stile musica disco, prima di proporre nuovamente il tema iniziale.
