Great Jazz Resource
I'm a voice teacher and use this book with my students so they will have accompaniments to practice with. Great song choices, wonderful backing tracks. However, I do agree with another reviewer that the songs are generally pretty low. I use a software program to change the key for some students, but would really appreciate if companies would think about including more than one key for songs, like a lower and higher version.

Jazz Tracks for Singers Women's Edition
What a great book. Although I have most of the songs in this format already, I didn't have the supurb piano backing tracks. It is so hard to get professional tracks so this was a delight to sing with.

Perfect for an alto-jazz aficionada!
I completely disagree with the negative reviews! I have most of the Hal Leonard jazz/female accompaniment track books, and this is by far my favorite. The accompaniment is a 3-piece rhythm section (piano, bass, drums (no horns, etc.), and NOT a synthesizer/midi set up), so the instrumentation is truly authentic. I sing 1st alto; these arrangements are perfect for my voice. The lowest note rarely goes down to an F below middle C. The highest notes are not higher than an octave above middle C. The arrangements are beautiful: haunting on the slow songs and nicely swinging on the uptempo songs. The songs are classic, and a very nice mix of blues, swing and ballads. For a professional singer this book is a MUST. Excellent sound quality. I would NOT recommend this book for a beginner, as there are no demo tracks to listen to, and unless you already know the song or can read music, these tracks will be difficult to learn. Definitely 5-stars. This is no cheesy karaoke book.
