Adaptable if you want to transpose

I don't want to discredit this book for its teaching of technique, because that was not my reason for purchasing it. I wanted a book that I could play guitar to accompany my son on trumpet, but this book does not serve that purpose. The duets are meant for instruments that play in the same key, so I will have to transpose or capo (thus the adaptable part). Also, I never heard of any of the songs in the book which was another disappointment.

A nice introduction to jazz

Excellent for students with 1-3 years of playing experience. The duets are tuneful with nice counterpoint in the harmony. I use it with many of my students.
