The first steam train was invented by Cornishman, Richard Trevithick in 1803. The first passenger train, named "Locomotion No.1" was built by George and Robert Stephenson. On 27th September 1825 it ran from the first railway station Stockton & Darlington in the North of England pulling a train with 450 passengers at a speed of 15 miles an hour.
Suitable for any choir wishing to celebrate the achievements of these early pioneers of rail travel.
