It all started when I heard an arrangement of this well known musical State Fair number performed by Phil Spitalny's Hour of Charm All Girl orchestra, featuring Evelyn And Her Magic Violin. When I heard their performance, I couldn't even guess what that song title was, until I joined in a public virtual jazz band jam session, played the tune for them, and one of the members pointed out the title. So I went ahead alongside my friend Darren Rodney to arrange and make our own version of this chart for Violin Soloist and Studio Orchestra, an arrangement that is inspiring, influenced, and paying tribute to the Hour of Charm Orchestra as a whole, also threw in a bit of the 1996 Broadway adaptation Orchestration in there too within the introductive verse right before the main theme.
