This is a brass quintet arrangement (2 trumpets in Bb, Horn in F, trombone and tuba) with optional drum set part of “It Makes No Difference” composed by Bert Kaempfert and Herbert Rehbein from their 1966 album “Bye Bye Blues.” With lyrics by Milt Gabler, this tune was covered by Johnny Mathis on his 1969 album “Johnny Mathis Sings the Music of Bert Kaempfert.” In this arrangement the lead melody is intermittently shared among the several players. The upbeat swing feel and easy listening style of this piece exudes relaxation. As an intermediate-advanced level piece, this arrangement would be appropriate as background music where casual listening and/or dancing are occasioned.
