This arrangement alternates between a modal vamp in a high energy funk feel as an intro/outro/inerlude and a relaxed samba feel for the head and solos. A feature for a strong lead trombone soloist, this chart has multiple solo section for the trombone as well as a solo in the lead alto where your lead saxophonist can really stretch out and experiment. The chart culminates when as the alto solo peaks, the trombone returns to the head in a sort of cacophonic climax.
