Into Your Eyes was commissioned by the Nielse ConcertBand (Belgium) to celebrate its tenth anniversary. The band was formed through the fusion of two existing music societies by the late Michel Versavel, who was the combined ensemble’s first conductor. This wonderful chorale is a hymn to his memory, and is dedicated to the further growth and advancement of the band.
Into Your Eyes werd in opdracht geschreven naar aanleiding van het tienjarig bestaan van de Nielse ConcertBand (België) een harmonieorkest dat is ontstaan door een fusie van twee muziekverenigingen. Een dergelijk jubileum verdient een speciaal voor de gelegenheid gecreëerde compositie. Into Your Eyes is een lofdicht op de verdere groei en uitbouw van het orkest.
Into Your Eyes wurde von der Nielse ConcertBand (Belgien) ein Orchester, das durch den Zusammenschluss von zwei Musikvereinen entstanden ist aus Anlass des 10-jährigen Bestehens in Auftrag gegeben. Für dieses besondere Jubiläum wollte man gerne eine Komposition haben, die speziell für diesen Anlass geschrieben wurde. Dieser wunderschöne Choral ist ein Loblied auf den verstorbenen Michel Versavel, der die beiden Musikvereine zusammengebracht hatte und der erste Dirigent nach dem Zusammenschluss war. Das Werk spiegelt auch die weitere Entwicklung und die Fortschritte des Orchesters wider.
Into Your Eyes est une commande de Nielse ConcertBand, un orchestre belge créé par la fusion de deux sociétés de musique, pour la célébration de son dixième anniversaire. Une telle fête mérite une composition spécialement écrite. Ce choral magnifique est un cantique pour le défunt Michel Versavel, qui avait réuni les deux orchestres et qui était leur premier chef après la fusion. L’œuvre est un hommage au développement et au progrès futurs de l’orchestre.
