After his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Christ came from the light of Palm Sunday into the shadows of the upper room, Gethsemane, and ultimately the cross...all in the span of less than a week. Into the Shadows uses the imagery of light and darkness in narration and three anthems, painting a vivid picture of Holy Week and taking the choir and worshippers on a Lenten journey not to be forgotten. Each anthem can be performed separately or together as a 14-minute suite. Optional (downloadable/reproducible) choir/congregational devotions are also available to enrich the experience. The optional chamber orchestration will add even more color and depth. Titles include Hosanna to the King, Shadows of Gethsemane, and Calvary's Tree.
