Cavalleria rusticana (rustic chivalry) is an opera in one act, composed by Pietro Mascagni, based on a play written by Giovanni Verga. Pietro Mascagni however was the only one to become famous. The work still occupies a permanent place in the current opera repertoire. The symphonic interlude provides a moment of instrumental rest during the opera. Expertly arranged by Willy Hautvast.

Cavalleria Rusticana (chevalerie campagnarde) est un opéra en un acte de Pietro Mascagni, basé sur le livret du même nom de Giovanni Verga. Mascagni devint très célèbre avec cet œuvre, qui prend toujours sa place dans le répertoire d’opéra d’aujourd’hui. Cet intermezzo symphonique assure un moment de détente dans l’opéra Cavalleria Rusticana. L’arrangement est de la main compétente de Willy Hautvast.

Cavalleria rusticana (bäuerliche Ehre) ist eine einaktige Oper von Pietro Mascagni, basierend auf dem gleichnamigen Stück von Giovanni Verga. Mascagni erwarb sich mit dieser Oper, die heute noch einen festen Platz im Repertoire der Theater hat, großen Ruhm. Das vorliegende Intermezzo sorgt für einen Ruhepunkt in der Opernhandlung.
