Excellent Ensemble Development Piece
While not for vocalists, this Curnow march is an excellent piece for developing instrumental ensemble skills. The clear melodic lines and effective, building texture provide great opportunities for teaching balance and blend within the band. The parts offer solid support without being overly simplistic, allowing each section to contribute meaningfully. It’s well-scored for beginning players to grasp fundamental ensemble playing.

Fun and Achievable First March!
What a fun piece to play with my community band! James Curnow's 'Infinity' march is genuinely enjoyable for a beginning player like me. The difficulty is just right; it's challenging enough to feel rewarding but totally achievable with a bit of practice. It sounds great, building nicely, and really makes you feel like part of a proper concert band. Highly recommend for any adult learner looking for a satisfying band piece.

Solid, Straightforward Band Piece
For school or community band gigs, this James Curnow march is solid. The parts are clearly notated for beginning players, making sight-reading quick and efficient. As expected for a concert band score, chord symbols aren't a focus, but the instrumentation provides everything needed. It's a straightforward, well-crafted piece that can be learned quickly, ideal for events with limited rehearsal time.

Excellent First March for Young Bands
James Curnow's 'Infinity' is perfect for beginning concert bands. As a conductor, I appreciate the 'Performer Level' difficulty (Essential Elements Book 1) which makes it highly accessible for young students. The clear engraving ensures easy reading, and its catchy, building melody provides an encouraging challenge. It's fantastic for reinforcing rhythm and ensemble reading skills early on, without overwhelming them.

Excellent but tricky a little bit
A measure 7,people who would play the snare drum part would rush before getting it professionally. And a little bit tricky to get the the sixteenths and eights even while maintaining speed, but the thing that it makes easier is the repetition that occurs oftenly throughout the song.Bass Drum can have a little trouble too.The 1 (rest, rest )4 like on measure 37.
