"Infant Christ, We Bow Before You" is a two-part (soprano and alto) a cappella choral piece. The words have been freely adapted from Reginald Heber's hymn "Virgin-born, we bow before Thee" (Public Domain) to show how Mary's privilege in bearing Christ comes back to us as a blessing. Slow and haunting, in Dorian mode, this composition uses contrary motion to show the circle of blessing from Mary to us and then back again, all through the Infant Christ. Suitable for any treble choir.
