In the 1940s, began to compose light orchestral pieces for the Bosworth Music Library. He is best remembered in Britain as the composer of "Theatreland", "Pink Champagne", and especially this piece "In Party Mood", which became the signature tune of Housewives' Choice, a popular radio show on the BBC Light Programme which ran until 1967. It is an attractive light music item lasting about 3-4 minutes and here scored for 1121. 2230. Percussion and Strings.
