In Between Time is an original Grade 5 multiple percussion duet composed for advanced college-level percussionists. This piece is ideal for percussion recitals, chamber concerts, or contemporary percussion ensemble programs. Performance Notes:
• Percussionists should use light weight drumsticks or timbale sticks. For softer volume, use felt mallets or bamboo sticks
• Snare drum should have the snares off
• Both sets of bongo drums should be tuned as close to each other as possible
• Bass drum should be a muted/muffled drum set bass drum on its side (18” 20”, 22” or 24” preferably)
• Note the repeats at A and B. Those should also be played at the sign
• The open improvisation section can be played as many times as desired by the performers. This section could be played with the performers trading 8 bars, 4 bars or 2 bars etc.
