In a Foreign Land is a piano solo arrangement of the 1905 hit pop song by Carrie Jacobs-Bond, which was originally a ballad for voice and piano. I have simplified the piece with much of it now 2 part (single notes in each hand) with some occasional 2 note chords. In the opening section I reharmonize the melody with simple folk style chords, then in the second section I return to the original syncopated broken chords.
