The Story Behind “In a Dream”
I wrote this melody in 1996 after returning from Singapore, originally as a demo for Cantonese star Andy Lau. Though it wasn’t used, I later added English lyrics in 2005, turning it into a heartfelt ballad about love and loss.
IN A DREAM is now available as easy-to-read sheet music for piano and voice in C Major. This arrangement features two contrasting sections, complete with vocal melody, piano accompaniment, chord symbols and musical markings.
It’s ideal for singers looking to add a fresh, original piece to their repertoire.
