Impromptus, op. 7 Piano Solo - Sheet Music

Jan Václav Hugo Vorísek (1791–1825) was one of the most outstanding phenomena of the Czech musical emigration in Vienna. His heritage includes works ranging in character from piano pieces, chamber music and symphonies to songs and sacred music. Vorísek pioneered the way for a new Romantic expressivity in music. One document of this is his Impromptu for piano from 1822, which later had a great influence on the Impromptus and Moments musicaux of F. Schubert (1827). These six piano pieces are published together with a detailed Preface and Editor’s Notes as part of the Musica Antiqua Bohemica series.
