Impressions on Veni, Emmanuel -- Handbell Score (4-6 octaves) by Cathy Moklebust 5-Octaves - Sheet Music

By Cathy Moklebust

This varied arrangement of the 15th cent. French processional uses randomly malleted handbells, handchimes, finger cymbals (or triangle), and chime tree to create a mystical, ethereal introduction. A simply flowing statement of the tune is presented, followed by a rhythmic, energetic, and urgent-feeling section in 7/8 meter, including the use of finger cymbals and wood block. The words "Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel is come to you, O Israel!" are grandly and joyously illustrated, and the work concludes as ethereally as it began, but with softly singing bells. Voicing: 3, 4, 5 or 6 octaves handbells with finger cymbals (or triangle), chime tree, wood block, and optional 3 octaves handchimes Composer: 15th century French processional Arranger: Cathy Moklebust Tune source: VENI, EMMANUEL Season: Advent Series name: Master Ringer Series Level: 4- Additional Resources: CGB1000Impressions on Veni, Emmanuel - Full Score
