Een snelle voortstuwende compositie met veel kracht en vitaliteit, en als hoogtepunt een legato weergave van het hoofdthema, als eerste in de trombones en trompetten. Deze compositie richt zich op het 'betere’ orkest welke het, om de componist te citeren, een 'spannende rit’ zullen vinden.
iMaginations is a bright and colourful overture with a strong memorable theme in a fast ¾ meter that is shared across the sections of the band. It drives forward relentlessly with great vigour and vitality, culminating in a soaring legato rendition of the main theme, first heard in trombones and trumpets. I have aimed this piece at more advanced bands who will find it an exciting ride. '
iMaginations est une ouverture gaie et colorée avec un thème fort et reconnaissable dans une mesure à ¾ rapide, divisé sur les sections différentes du groupe. Le thème est propulsé de façon infatigable, avec beaucoup d’énergie et vitalité, et trouve son climax à la représentation du thème principal dans un legato glissant, qu’on entend d’abord dans les trombones et trompettes. iMaginations ist eine deutliche und farbenreiche Ouvertüre mit einem eingängigen Thema, das von allen Sektionen gespielt wird, in einem schnellen Dreivierteltakt. Eine schnelle vorwärtstreibende Komposition mit viel Kraftnund Vitalität, und als Höhepunkt eine legato Wiedergabe des Hauptthemas, zuerst in de Posaunen und Trompeten. Diese Komposition richtet sich auf das 'bessere' Orchester, welches, das, um den Komponisten zu zitieren, einen 'spannenden Ritt' finden werden.
