This edition contains the first eight pieces from the version of the Bologna print “Solfeggi A Canto E Alto Dati Alla Stampe Per Comodo Delli Putti Delle Scuole Pie Di Bologna Dedicati Agl' Illustrissimi Signori Governatori Di Datta Opera Da Angelo Bertalotti” (1744). Although originally intended for solfège instruction, the works can also be played on two violins or other melodic instruments due to their vocal range. The pieces are ideally suited for familiarizing oneself with the rules of two-part harmony, musical ensemble playing, different time signatures, tempos, closing clauses, and different keys. An enrichment for anyone who wants to learn about older musical styles and the special conventions of Italian Baroque music theory!
