Since this opera is so well known, I was shocked when seeing just how many variations Rossini wrote for it. The massively difficult tenor aira near the end, usually cut, was also rewritten for the contralto, but does NOT follow the version later used in La Cenerentola. Even Rosina's famous aria has different versions of it. Truly a very intriguing scholarly work.
