Commissioned by the Network for New Music and premiered at the Germantown Settlement Music School on December 7, 2024 on a program entitled "Dance". From the composer: "While I am primarily a musician, I have always loved to watch dancers. For the past two years, my husband and I have been taking ballroom dance lessons and our favorite is the Tango. The rhythm of the tango is highly syncopated, especially featuring a 3+3+2 rhythm within 4/4 time. It is also an intimate dance, where the partners are connected by hips and chest, so that they can anticipate one another’s moves.".
