Published by Will Corbin (A0.1785945).This hit from Huey Lewis and the News made the Billboard Top Ten in 1984, even though Billboard called it a "guileless '50s throwback." Cash Box, on the other hand, said it was "doo-wop at its finest." Probably a little of both. But it's a fun tune, both as a vocal and as an adaptation for brass quintet.
The original was written in 12/8, which is handy for avoiding a fog of triplets. This one is in swing 4/4, pretty much the same thing.
