Udo Zimmermann (1943–2021) was a multifaceted artistic personality. As a composer and conductor, dramaturg and artistic director, he was active in many other functions within the musical-creative spectrum. Music served him as a medium of self-discovery and communication.
Throughout his life, Udo Zimmermann has influenced many people with his music and artistic work, opening up new paths and addressing topics. Together with Matthias Herrmann, his wife Saskia Zimmermann has collected memories from contemporaries and companions of Zimmermann.
