This arrangement is mostly SAB, with a 4-part (SATB) introduction and final verse. Great for intermediate groups. Fun and catchy bass line, melodic lines in the interior parts, and the melody sung by a feature solo or several soloists.
The arrangement consists of a slow opening 4-part chorale, followed by three uptempo verses. Verse 1 is accompanied only by a bass line, verse 2 adds "oohs" in sopranos and altos, and verse 3 keeps the same soprano and alto harmony but with a rhythmic pattern, making the three verses easy for the group to learn. After a key change, the arrangement ends with another, slower chorale section growing to a joyful climax, then settling into a peaceful ending.
*Tenor part is only is the beginning and end of the song, and can be considered a subgroup of altos or of baritones for the rest of the song.
