I Stand All Amazed is one of the most beautifully written hymns sung in sacred music. This arrangement seeks to show the personal relationship between one and Jesus. There are several moments where the harmony goes from higher notes to lower notes, representing the descent of Christ and his eternal glory. There's also a struggle of dissonant perfect fourths and consonant perfect fifths, showing how Christ is perfect, and how we're made in God's image, but need Christ to become purified. At the end, the piano music shows two noteheads on the same note, signifying being one with Christ.
