"I Need Thee Every Hour" is a well-known hymn with lyrics written in 1872 by Annie Hawks and set to music by Robert Lowry in 1873. This arrangement is written for high solo voice, piano, and cello obbligato. The harmonies from the standard hymn have been revoiced to incorporate a modern classical tone, with extended chordal voicing in the accompaniment and a beautiful cello obbligato singing with the vocal line, weaving through the accompaniment.

With his arrangement of "I Need Thee Every Hour" Brandon Haynes' has brought this classic hymn to new heights. He has maintained the integrity and simplicity of the words yet elevated this familiar melody and rhythmic structure by taking us on a heartfelt journey. His masterful understanding of the heartbeat of a melody and its connection to the human spirit is truly amazing. The familiar melody is woven masterfully through the vocal and cello with subtle, but powerful hints in the flowing piano accompaniment. Another MUST HAVE.
