Your symphony orchestra is playing a Barry Manilow tribute show and the lead vocalist suddenly requests to add 3 songs to the show for which there were no available arrangements for sale online!?
Ok, probably not. But this DID happen to someone, which facilitated the need for me to write these charts that are now available to you or any other ensemble in this oddly specific predicament.
This arrangement, along with its 2 companions (all of which can be found on my publisher page), follows the original key & form of Barry Manilow's studio recording, and includes many tasteful nods to the original instrumentation. However, these arrangements are particularly useful in that they can be performed without needing choir, guitar or electric bass, making them much simpler additions to a symphony pops program. The vocal solo could also potentially be performed by any number of treble-clef instrumentalists instead of voice.
Instrumentation - *Solo voice, *Flute, *Oboe, *English Horn, 3 Clarinets, Bassoon, *3 French Horns, *2 Trumpets, 2 Trombones, Bass Trombone, *Tuba, Timpani, Harp, Suspended Cymbal & Mark Tree, *Drum Set, *Piano, *Strings.
*starred parts are required, others may be ommitted if needed
Difficulty level - Intended for professional ensembles but could be handled by a college or community orchestra with a bit of rehearsal time. The wind & brass parts are a higher degree of difficulty than the strings, mainly due to the key & register.
