Katheryn Hankey in 1866 wrote a long poem with over fifty stanzas. A few of the verses were used to create this hymn where William G Fischer wrote the music;

This is an easy arrangement for classical guitar that is just melody and a bass line. The bass notes are chord tones. It is arranged first in the key of C and then D.

There is a bar F chord at the first fret but nothing else real challenging

The audio file is played on a Heritage 575 electric guitar.
