Violin 1 requires confidence in shifting above third position throughout the piece. Violin 2 uses techniques such as col legno and left hand pizz while playing doublestops. Viola has a prominent moment near the end of the first page. Cello takes the melody. The bass part is completely unique from cello. 5 string bass or extension is suggested! There is one key change from 1 sharp to 4 flats.
