Composed by Carol Browning. Choral. Choral. Sacred. Octavo. 12 pages. GIA Publications #5891. Published by GIA Publications (GI.G-5891).

UPC: 785147589105. English. Text Source: Psalm 46:10, Martin Willett, based on a poem by Henry Hodgkin, 1876–1933. Text by Martin J. Willett. Scripture: Psalm 46:10.

This gentle, introspective piece makes a beautiful meditation for any choir. The text was inspired by a poem by an English Quaker called "On Morning Worship." The changing meters naturally follow the speech rhythm of the words. The mostly two- and three-part writing - with a few measures of SATB - make the piece good for smaller choirs. The piano accompaniment provides the "flowing" nature needed in performance.
