Great book for string teachers
I have used this book for students for years. I have them do ONLY the pitch pages first and set up a sticker paper with 5 rows. A sticker for each page. They usually feel so proud and get through the book fast. Rhythms tend to be easier I find and I think the book is too much of a chore if they do it all at once.

I can Read Music book 1
I have used this book for years, and I think it is GREAT! There are 5 lines of Notes/Pitch and 5 lines of Rhythm for each lesson. The book is laid out in a very logical order. The print is large and easy to read for students of all ages. My students love to count the rhythms before they play them.I would highly recommend this book to any student learning to read music at any age!

my daughter has been doing violin for about a year and has found this book really helpful. its very clear and easy to understand, shes 8 years old.
