Published by Records Room Music (A0.1635294).This high-energy piece from Disney’s Mufasa is a collaboration between composers Nicholas Britell and Lin-Manuel Miranda. In its original recording from the film, the music features the choral ensemble plus a selection of character soloists (Taka, Mufasa, and a bit of Chigaru). For this choral edition, I have preserved most of those solo designations for ensembles who wish to have soloists representing the characters perform them. However, the solo lines can also be performed by sections of the ensemble if the director wishes to give it more of an ensemble feel.
The score features piano accompaniment and includes guitar chords and tablature. The accompaniment would greatly benefit from additional instrumentation such as guitar, bass, and percussion.
This arrangement is currently available in multiple choral voicings: TB, TBB, SA, SSA, and SAB. All editions support optional soloists. A special note to directors who would like to use different voicings for a multi-choir performance: the TB edition is compatible with the TBB edition, and the SA edition is compatible with the SSA edition, but no other combinations of editions will work due to the transposition of each edition.
