An anonymous write of a tune that Thomas Pollock would set words to for Good Friday in the 1800's. Section A is the hymn exposition followed by Section B which changes to g minor. It then segues into Bb Major in Section C. One almost gets a feel of one humbling themselves before God, experiencing contrition for their wrong doing, and then finally feeling the release of being forgiven of all sins.
