SKU: S9.Q8522
(Didache IX, 2, 3, 4; X, 2, 5). Composed by Bertold Hummel. This edition: choral score. Chormusik. Choral score. Op. 57b. Duration 6 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q8522. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q8522).
German • English.
Written for church services, Bertold Hummel's motets were first performed by the choirs of the Würzburg Cathedral. This Dankhymnus enjoys remarkable popularity. The text from the first Christian century was set to powerful music by Hummel, some of it in unison, some of it with imitations or homophonic chord progressions leading to hymnically ascending sounds. An effective a-cappella work that studies without any particular problems and can be performed in churches and at concerts.
