Published by Anastace (A0.1799825)."While Morning's Light is Breaking" is a beautiful, uplifting hymn for the morning will strengthen the faith of anyone who hears it, and is particularly useful for any morning church service or daily personal devotional use. Half of the lyrics are from a beautiful old hymn by Johannes Mühlmann, and I wrote a new verse and some adaptations to the rest of the words and set it to brand new music composed with the intent to draw the soul upwards and lift hearts towards God. It has a triumphant melody reminiscent of bagpipes, and a beautiful tonic pedal for the first verse that then moves into rich yet simple harmonies, all in order to support the truth of the lyrics in a powerful, musical way. I recommend using a slightly more lilting, Celtic-style rhythm in some lines as heard in the recording but the music is written as clearly and simply to serve as many people as possible.
This arrangement is for those who want the exact chords that I used in my recorded version, and is in the original key of G major. It includes both a smaller-print version that fits all one one page and a larger print two page version, because I know our music stands are sometimes so far away!
