This intermediate woodwind quartet digital download arrangement of Orlando Gibbons’ joyous a cappella anthem "Hosanna to the Son of David" is a lovely adaptation of a Renaissance choral classic with a sacred text from Saint Matthew. It is a perfect opener or closer for recitals, and it also works beautifully for weddings and church services, and is a great way to teach the "Fugue" at children's concerts or educational outreach events. It was written for professional, college, and upper-level high school ensembles. I have included an alternate bass clarinet part in lieu of a missing bassoon. Originally scored for choir, I hope you enjoy this unique setting for winds of this uplifting choral music classic.
