With a catchy melody, jazzy call-and-response licks, and a fun Latin feel, "Hop, Skip ‘Nda Jump" really "bounces" off the page. It initially features the 1st trumpet, and alto then adds in the rest of the band to "Hop, Skip 'nda Jump" their way in to a great concert closer. The solo section is open with straight ahead changes and simple backgrounds then a bridge that gives each section a chance to "leap" up and take their turn. It ends with a big shout chorus and even with modest brass ranges it's scored so that it sounds full and exciting!
