“Honey Pie” is a nostalgic, music-hall style song by the Beatles, written by Paul McCartney and released on the 1968 “White Album.” The song’s lyrics tell of a woman nicknamed “Honey Pie” who leaves England, becomes a famous film star in the United States, and is addressed by an old lover back home who begs her to come back. McCartney built the track as a period piece, using an old‑time melody, “correct period” chords, and swing feel to mimic 1920s–30s popular song.
