Na een fanfare-achtige introductie begint het eerste, traditionele deel van de mars. In het tweede deel klinkt een krachtige bas-solo in mineur. Het derde deel van het trio is een revue-achtig thema dat in de saxen en hoorns tot uiting komt. Na een korte drumsolo eindigt de concertmars Hommage in een stralend klinkend orkest.

After a fanfare-like introduction, the first traditional part of the march begins. In the second section, a powerful tuba solo plays in a minor key. The third part of the trio is a revue-like theme, conveyed by the saxophones and horns. After a short drum solo the concert march Hommage ends with the radiant sounding full orchestra.

Après une introduction en forme de fanfare, commence la première partie traditionnelle de la marche. Dans la deuxième partie, un solo de basse puissant sonne en mineur. La troisième partie du trio est un thème de type revue qui s'exprime avec les saxophones et les cornes.
