The trombone quartet I'm in really likes this original suite. Well written, good melodies, suits the trombone sound very well. One movement (Turtles Sunning) features the bass 'bone. Overall range is playable by good amateurs, but playing the pieces well took us a bit of work. I heard a university music-major trombone choir sight-read part of this suite, and it wounded wonderful!
