The composition of the piece was approached in a free and spontaneous manner, in which the composer decided only to capture musical ideas that appeared as transient, passing objects, giving them space and without forcing them into shape. The piece is also inspired by the art installation "Hollow" by artist Katie Paterson and architects Zeller & Moye for the University of Bristol, England.
