Written for Woodwind Quintet when studying at the Royal Military School of Music. The three movements last over six minutes and were written for intermediate to advanced players. I spent many hours walking around the woodland parks and observing nature. This music is inspired by the life that I observed in three Parks; Regent Park, St James Park and Hyde Park and the beauty of these wondrous parks. This piece has been performed as a concert suite and even as background music to events. The music shows off each of the instruments in the woodwind quintet and the cadenzas in the middle section are written out but each performer could write his own.
