Published by seapieparcel (A0.1883424).Hey Little Hen is a popular WW2 song concerning itself with food shortages and rationing in a cheery-in-the-face-of-difficulties style. Cheryl used it with primary school classes and choirs to help with their studies of life during WW2. At one school, two Year 6 classes were studying the same WW2 topic with their class teachers, so she composed Boo To My Ration Book as a partner song to Hey Little Hen, so that each class could learn one song and then they could perform them together. Since then, several adult choirs have partnered the two songs together, and here they are arranged for brass band. Vocal lines are provided, but the tunes are covered by the instruments, so they’re optional. If you just want to perform Hey Little Hen, you can miss out bars 29-52!
