Heroes of the Air (Bravos do Ar) is a musical work that was written to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Military Aviation in Portugal. It was premiered on May 14, 2014 at the opening ceremony for the occasion of the inauguration of the evocative monument at Air Base n.1, Sintra. The author imbued by the spirit of the pioneers of Portuguese aviation, builds this work with elements where the bravery, courage, and perseverance mark the character of this festive fanfare.

Heroes of the Air (Bravos do Ar) était écrit pour célébrer la 100ième anniversaire de l’armée de l’air Portugaise. La première était le 14 mai 2014, pendant la cérémonie d’ouverture de l’inauguration du mémorial sur la première base aérienne à Sintra. Le compositeur, inspiré par la bravoure, le courage et la persévérance des pionniers de l’aviation Portugaise, a écrit cette fanfare festive.

Heroes of the Air (Helden der Luft) entstand anlässlich der Feierlichkeiten zum 100jährigen Bestehen der portugiesischen Luftwaffe. Die Uraufführung war am 14. Mai 2014 im Rahen der Eröffnung eines Denkmals auf dem ersten Luftwaffenstützpunkt in Sintra. Beim Schreiben dieser festlichen Fanfare hat sich der Komponist vom Mut und der Ausdauer der Pioniere der portugiesischen Luftfahrt inspirieren lassen.
